Ethan and Emma are serving in Eastern Europe. They live in a country where the vast majority are spiritually lost. This type of spiritual darkness looks like people trusting in religious traditions while having no personal relationship with Jesus. The city they live in has no evangelical church with the closest one being about 70 miles away. The population of this city is around 70,000 people and is a small part of a larger region of 2 million people that they are working towards reaching as well. As of now, there is no known Gospel presence amongst this region.

They are currently starting a new branch of a local nonprofit using outdoor adventures as an entry point into the country and community. They will get to help lead community hikes, kayak trips, maybe host some sports tournaments, and explore what else the Lord may do. This job in the city will give them plenty of opportunities to build relationships with locals and lead to sharing the Gospel with them.

Their prayer is that God would start and grow a church in their city and that other strategic places in their region would have fruitful growing churches. Please pray that God will allow the blind to see, for people to know Him personally, and that the strongholds the enemy has there will break so people will understand their need for a savior and believe in Jesus.
